Do you serve Parsippany?
Yes. Parsippany is on our regular Morris County route — most weeks we have a slot within 5–7 days. Larger projects we book 2–3 weeks out. We cover Lake Hiawatha, Mount Tabor, Troy Hills, Rainbow Lakes and the surrounding areas.
What kinds of jobs do you take on?
Mostly repair and small-project work: paint and drywall, trim and carpentry, electrical fixture swaps, plumbing fixture swaps, mounting and assembly, and the long list of small things most contractors won't bother with. Full-home renovations and anything behind the drywall for electrical or plumbing we hand off to specialists we trust.
How does your pricing work?
Flat quote by the job, given before we start. We walk the list with you, size up the work, and send one all-in number — labor and materials. The only time it changes is if we open something up and find something unexpected, and we tell you before continuing.
How soon can you come out?
Most weeks we have a slot within 5–7 days. Larger projects we usually book 2–3 weeks out so we can block a full day. Urgent fixes — a water leak, a broken lock — we try to fit in same-day where we can.
What towns do you serve?
All of Morris County — Morristown and the surrounding boroughs and townships — plus Basking Ridge and a handful of neighboring Somerset and Essex spots when scheduling allows. If you're close to the line, call and we'll tell you.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Oakford Handyman Co. is licensed in NJ for home improvement work and carries general liability + workers' comp. We can send the certificate before we show up if you need it for an HOA or landlord.
Do you handle emergency repairs?
We'll do our best — water leaks, broken locks, and lockout-adjacent issues we try to fit in same-day. For true emergencies (burst pipe, no power, active flood) call a 24/7 plumber or electrician first; we'll handle the cleanup and the drywall patch after.
Can you work on older or historic homes?
Yes — a lot of what we do is in older homes across Morristown, Mendham, Mountain Lakes and Madison. We match trim profiles, blend paint, and respect the house. Patient hands, square work.
